PRESS VICE MAYOR ROSARIO FLORENTINE ON THE TRANSFER OF EXPERTISE ON WASTE Ente PROVINCE
The Sorrento Town Council expresses deep concern towards the implementation of Decree Law No. 195 of 30 December 2009 confirming the end of the state of the waste in the Campania region, in particular for the passage of the entire management companies including the collection of provincial tax waste.
Such a tax, which moreover is inconsistent with that provided by national and regional, would end up penalizing the reality like ours, which for years have proved to be virtuous in waste management.
The decree in fact there are no references to the goals of recycling and above the rewarding and the penalties for municipalities that join them.
not be forgotten that although currently there are finally a number of facilities for the management of mixed waste in the open structure of the period managed by the Secretary Bertolaso, in the Campania Region are still missing the whole composting plants fulcrum of a system of integrated waste management that should be focused on the collection. Therefore, the municipalities that make the collection continues to support very high cost to give the organic waste. In
into law of this decree is necessary to correct these charges which would otherwise possibly even negate the good done in recent years by municipalities such as ours.
